This tutorial covers features that are useful in viewing and analyzing large waveform files. In particular, it covers some of the features in the free waveform viewer, WaveViewer, and the more powerful and faster GigaWave Viewer product. Waveform viewing features are also included in all of the timing diagram editor products and in BugHunter Pro.

This tutorial covers how to convert waveform files into SynaptiCAD's binary waveform format (BTIM format) for faster loading and viewing of the waveform data. For even quicker file loads, a subset of a file's signals can be selectively loaded using either the Import dialog or a filter file. This tutorial also demonstrates how to browse large files using the Show/Hide dialog and by searching for signals and states.
